So it’s been a busy winter.
I built a new guitar which will feature heavily on an upcoming album. It has at least one major difference from white chocolate, but a few other interesting innovations – more details soon to come to this site.
In January I set out to track some drums for one of the upcoming albums, which turned into a bit more of an adventure than I had originally planned…
As you probably noticed if you follow me on Twitter, in February I took off for a month to travel around Europe a bit. Met all kinds of great people, enjoyed some great food, and heard lots of new music that really inspired me. It’s a really big world out there and there are a many things that people in other countries have gotten right which we have yet to clue in to.
Still, we live in a really great country, and travelling only helps one to realize what an incredible nation Canada really is.
I then returned home in March with a really nasty flu, and was completely unable to speak for several days. Here I am a few weeks later and my voice has returned enough that I can finally begin some of the last vocal tracking, although I’m still missing most of the upper octave of my vocal range which might delay things a bit.
Overall things are well on track and spring is here!
In the “blog” section (or if you follow Sunshine and Decay on Facebook) the “Song of the Day” is just finishing up, so if you’ve missed it you might want to head over there and check it out.
I’m now in the process of fleshing out the lyrics on a few songs so that I can finish tracking them later in the week – Lots more to come soon!
